Production commencement for bulk carrier in Kou An

While the statutory the steel cutting was done on 15th September 2015 and the keel laying on 25th December 2015, the production commencement for Hull No. TK1030, MV ” FRIEDRICH SCHULTE” was carried out on 15th May 2018 in Taizhou Kouan Shipbuilding, China in the presence of representatives from SMC and Lloyd’s Register (LR). This vessel is the second unit from a series of 2 x green dolphin 38,000 DWT Bulk Carriers ordered by Bernhard Schulte, Germany.

The vessel will be classed by LR and built to the Singapore flag requirements.

Delivery of the vessel is scheduled for 15th June 2019.

Production commencement for VLCC in DSIC

While the Steel Cutting was completed on 1st November 2017, the production Keel Laying for Hull No. T308K-1 was carried out on 8th May 2018 on DSIC Slipway No H3 in the presence of Classification (CCS), SMC Site Office and DSIC personnel. This is the first unit from a series of 3 x 308,000 DWT Crude Oil Tankers for Landbridge Holdings, Hong Kong.

This vessel will be built to Hong Kong flag requirements and classed by CCS Register as

Delivery of this vessel is scheduled for 31st December 2018.

Produciton kick-off meeting in Zhoushan Changhong for a pair of bulk carriers

SMC is pleased to report meeting of SMC Supervision team with Owners in Zhoushan Changhong Shipyard Co., for production kick off meeting on May.7th 2018 after SMC taking over the supervision of the project for two 64,000 Bulk Carriers.

All vessels in the series will be classed by LR and built to Marshall flag requirements.

Delivery of the vessel is scheduled for 8th May and 9th June 2019 respectively.

Delivery of “Ore Hong Kong”

SMC is pleased to report Naming and Delivery Ceremony in Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Group LTD, China of mv ”ORE HONG KONG”, Hull No. YZJ2015-2275, the first unit from the series of 6 x 400,000 DWT VLOC ordered by ICBC Leasing, China.

Keel laying of MR tanker in HMD

SMC is pleased to report Keel Laying in Hyundai Mipo Dockyard Co. Ltd., South Korea of Hull No. 8224, the fourth unit from the series of 8 x 50,000 DWT Class Product/Chemical Tanker ordered by Union Maritime, UK.

Vessel will be classed by Lloyd’s List and built to Liberian Flag requirements.

Delivery of the vessel is scheduled for 10th September 2018.

Lauching of MR tanker in HMD

SMC is pleased to report the Launching in Hyundai Mipo Dockyard Co. Ltd., South Korea of Hull No. 2629, the first unit from the series of 8 x 50,000 DWT Class Product/Chemical Tanker ordered by Union Maritime, UK.

Vessel will be classed by Lloyd’s List and built to Liberian Flag requirements.

Delivery of the vessel is scheduled for 12th July 2018.

Delivery of “Interlink Amenity”

SMC is pleased to report the Delivery in Huatai Heavy Industry Co. Ltd, Nantong, China: of MV “INTERLINK AMENITY”, Hull No. H0022, the sixth and the last vessel in the series of 6 x 38,500 DWT Bulk Carriers ordered by Marine Capital Corporation, Bermuda.

All vessels in the series are classed by American Bureau of Shipping and are built to Marshall Islands flag requirements.

The vessel naming ceremony and delivery took place on 09 Apr 2018 in attendance of Mr. Paul Gurtler, President, Interlink. and Mr. Ashoke Dey, Dy.MD, SMC.

Produciton Commencement of the second 308k VLCC

While the statutory Steel Cutting was completed on 14th December 2015 and Keel Laying on 23rd December 2015, the Production Commencement for Hull No. T308K-3, the second unit from the series of 3 x 308,000 DWT Crude Oil Tankers for Landbridge Holdings (Hong Kong) was carried out on 5th March 2018 in Dalian Shipbuilding Heavy Industry Co in the presence of the Owners, SMC and Classification.

The vessel will be built to Hong Kong flag requirements and classed by Lloyds.

Delivery of the vessel is scheduled for 15th May 2019.

Kamsarmax bulk carriers project with Transocean Maritime Agencies

SMC has signed a supervision agreement with Transocean Maritime Agencies (TMA), Monaco, right after the Chinese New Year. SMC will support TMA’s site supervision for two 82,000 DWT bulk carriers; a newbuilding project in Jinling Shipyard, China. Steel cutting for the first vessel started from February 2018 and delivery for the last vessel is scheduled for April 2019.

TMA is a private, family-controlled shipowning company, specialising in bulk carriers, with 17 vessels currently under their fleet. SMC started cooperation with TMA in 2013 and has already supervised four vessels with same type in Jinling Shipyard two years ago. TMA was very satisfied with the services provided and therefore entrusted this project to SMC.

Keel laying of GSV

SMC is pleased to report Keel Laying in Hyundai Mipo Dockyard of MV “KAIROS”, Hull No. H8250, 7,500m3 Class Gas supply vessel ordered by Bernhard Schulte Management Germany & Babcock International UK Ltd.

Delivery of the vessel is scheduled for 20th September 2018.
