Delivery of No. 9 vessel – Gold Supervision Award
SMC is pleased to report that an Appreciation Banner of “Gold supervision team” along with a Letter of Appreciation was awarded by Yangzi Xinfu Shipyard in recognition of the quality supervision services provided during the construction of 208K Bulk Carrier Project.
During the delivery of the No. 9 vessel of 208K Bulk Carrier series, Yangzi Xinfu Shipyard appreciated the supervision team’s work ethic of “not only adhering to the principle, but also finding and solving problems in time”.
Vessel’s delivery on 5th Feb 2021, was achieved in a very short span of 31 days from launching to delivery. This rare feat was made possible by advancing the post-launching activities to the pre-launching stage which included commissioning of Diesel generators, Boilers, and Purifiers. Even Lightweight Measurement Test was completed in the dry dock on the day of Launching itself.
Launching of 210K DWT bulk carrier at SWS
SMC is pleased to announce Launching of 210,000 DWT bulk carrier, Hull No. H1519 at Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding, China. It is the second vessel from the series of four such bulk carriers ordered by CITIC Commodities, Singapore.
The vessel will be classed by BV and built to Hongkong flag requirements. Delivery of the vessel is scheduled for 30th April 2021.
Delivery of mv “Singapore” – 2,700 TEU container vessel at New Yangzi
SMC is pleased to announce Delivery of 2,700 TEU container vessel, mv “Singapore”, Hull No: YZJ2015-2024 at New Yangzi Shipyard, China. This is the third unit from the series of 3 X 2,700 TEU Container vessels ordered by SITC, China.
This vessel will be classed by DNV-GL and build to Hong Kong flag requirements. The naming ceremony was held on 15th January 2021
Steel Cutting of 210K DWT bulk carrier at COSCO Yangzhou
SMC is pleased to announce Steel Cutting of 210,000 DWT bulk carrier, Hull No. N980 and N981 at Yangzhou COSCO Shipbuilding, China. This is the first and second vessel in a series of four vessels ordered by Shandong Shipping Bulk Co., Limited.
The vessel will be classed by CCS and built to Hong Kong flag requirements, scheduled to be delivered on 28 December 2021 and 21 March 2022.
Keel Laying of 1,500 pax ropax at P&O Ferries
SMC is pleased to announce Keel Laying of P&O ropax 1,500 vessels, Hull No. 19121007, 19121008 and 19121009 at GSI, China. The vessels were ordered by P&O Ferries.
The vessels will be classed by DNV-GL. Scheduled to be delivered as follows: 19121007 on 23rd Sep 2022, 19121008 on 23rd Mar 2023 and delivery date of 19121009 to be confirmed.
Delivery of 2,700 TEU container vessel at New Yangzi
SMC is pleased to announce Delivery of 2,700 TEU container ship, Hull No: YZJ2015-2023 (mv “Penang”) at New Yangzi Shipyard, China. This is the 2nd unit from the series of 3 x 2700 TEU container ship ordered by SITC, China.
This vessel will be classed by DNV-GL and build to Hong Kong flag requirements.
Launching of 5,800 m3 LNG bunker vessel at Keppel Nantong
SMC is pleased to announce Launching of 5,800 LNG bunker vessel, Hull No. H414 at Keppel Nantong Shipyard, China. This vessel is ordered by Shturman Koshelev, Russian Federation.
The vessel will be classed by RMRS-BV and built to Russian Federation flag requirements.
scheduled to be delivered on 15th May 2021.
Keel laying of 19,000 DWT Rail Car Carrier
SMC is pleased to announce Keel Laying of 19,000 DWT, Hull No. H3090 in Guangzhou Huangpu Wenchong Shipyard, China, the second unit from the series of 2 x 19,000 DWT/2,500 lane-meter rail car carrier ordered by SEABULK LLC, USA.
Both vessels in the series are classed by ABS and will be built to Marshall Island flag requirements.
Delivery of the vessel is scheduled on25th June 2021
Delivery of 325,000 DWT VLOC at BSIC
SMC is pleased to announce that Delivery Ceremony of 325,000 DWT VLOC, Hull No. OC325K-5 at Qingdao Beihai Shipyard, China. This is the fifth unit from a series of 6x VLOC325K ordered by ICBC&CMES, China.
The vessel will be classed by ABS & CCS and built to Hong Kong flag requirements. the vessel will be departure from BSIC on 10th December.
Launching of 49,800 DWT MR Tanker at STX
SMC is pleased to announce the Launching of 49,800 DWT MR tanker, Hull No. S1923 at STX Offshore & Shipbuilding Korea, the second unit from a series of 2 x 49,800 DWT Class Crude Oil / Product Oil / Chemical Tanker ordered by Island Navigation Corporation International., Ltd, Hong Kong.
Technical management of the vessel will be under Singapore office of Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement (BSM).
