Steel Cutting of 63.5k DWT BC at CXS
SMC is pleased to announce Steel Cutting of 63,500 DWT bulk carrier, Hull No. CX0669 at Chengxi Shipbuilding, China. This is the fourth vessel in a series of eight vessels ordered by Huaxia Financial Leasing Co., Ltd China.
The vessel will be classed by ABS and built to the flag of Marshall Islands, scheduled to be delivered on 22nd March 2024.
Start Cutting of 35K Floating Dry Dock (NB045) in Gemak Shipyard Turkey
We are pleased to announce that on 02 May 2023 at h 16.25 (GMT+3h) the project 35K Floating Dry Dock (Construction NB045) had achieved first fabrication milestone “Start Cutting” in Gemak Shipyard (NETA Factory) – Turkey.
This is one of the biggest Dry Dock built under SMC Supervision with following characteristics:
Length overall: 253.5 m
Width overall: 54.5 m
Utile Width: 41.0 m
Draft max: 18.3 m
Capacity: 35,000 LT @ 18″ FREEBOARD
Structural Capacity: 85LT/FT in CL
Gross Tonnage: 16500 LT
Class: American Bureau of Shipping (ABS)
and having following milestone date
Steel Cutting: 2023-May-02
Keel Laying: 2023-August-16
Launching: 2024-July-13
Delivery: 2024-November-21

Launching of 2,600 TEU container at NYZ
SMC is pleased to announce Launching of 2,600 TEU container vessel, Hull No. N2675 at New Yangzi Shipbuilding, Jiangsu, China. This is the last vessel in a series of 10 x 2,600 TEU vessels ordered by SITC Shipping Management Co., Ltd. China.
The vessel will be classed by NK and built to Hong Kong flag requirements, scheduled to be delivered on 30th June 2023.
Delivery of 63.6k BC at COSCO Zhoushan
SMC is pleased to announce Delivery of 63,600 DWT bulk carrier, Hull No. N1086 at COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry Zhoushan, China. This is the first vessel in a series of eight vessels ordered by Bank of Communications Financial Leasing Co., Ltd. Shanghai, China.
The vessel will be classed by LR and built to Marshall Islands flag requirements, scheduled to be delivered on 27th April 2023.
SMC Site Manager Seminar Officially Back on Track
Schulte Marine Concept (SMC) successfully held Site Manager Seminar in Shanghai on 15th – 16th April 2023 after the Covid related restrictions were officially lifted in China. Numbers of participants reached a record high since the first seminar held in 2013 – more than 80 attendants, including Site Managers, Deputy Site Managers, Senior Supervisors, and teams from Shanghai Head Office and Korean Representative Office participated.
The Schulte Group CEO Mr. Ian Beveridge, BSM China Managing Director Capt. Umesh Lulla and experts from MAN Energy Solutions were special guests and speakers at the seminar. Altogether 34 topics, technical, operational, HR, HSSE have been presented and discussed.

Keel Laying of 64k DWT BC at NACKS
SMC is pleased to announce Keel Laying of 64,000 DWT bulk carrier, Hull No. NE429 at Nantong COSCO KHI Ship Engineering, China. This is the second vessel in a series of two vessels ordered by Huaxia Financial Leasing Co., LTD, China.
This vessel will be classed by NK and built to Marshall Islands flag requirements, scheduled to be delivered on 22nd August 2023.

Schulte Marine Concept (SMC) proudly announces the opening of Plan Approval Centre in India with a core team of experienced professionals with considerable experience in newbuilding projects.
SMC Mumbai PA Centre is housed inside BSM India office located at 401 Olympia, Hiranandani Gardens, Powal, Mumba, India. This center established by SMC’s Technical Director, Mr. Adi Moka will serve as a satellite hub to SMC Shanghai head office to boost company capability and capacity for provision of technical consultancy (including plan approval) for newbuilding, conversion, retrofit projects ensuring quality of service and meeting currently industry expectations.
SMC proudly introduces Mumbai PA Center team members consisting of Ms. Lalithadevi Vempali – Naval Architect, Mr. Pradip Chattopadhyay – Marine Electrical Engineer, Mr. Ashish Ghosh – Naval Architect, and Mr. Deepak Agarwal – Marine Engineer, who come with extensive industry experience in ship operation, new shipbuilding construction and as well as plan approval.

SMC is pleased to announce Delivery of 1,023 TEU container carrier, Hull No. SB673 (mv”SITC FENGHE”) at Daesun Shipbuilding & Engineering Co., Ltd., Korea. This is the third vessel in a series of ten vessels ordered by SITC Shipowning Group Company Limited, China.
The vessel will be classed by ABS and built to Hong Kong flag requirements, scheduled to be delivered on 20th April 2023.
Steel Cutting of 174k LNG at SHI
SMC is pleased to announce Steel Cutting of 174,000 m3 LNG carrier, Hull No. SN2595 at Samsung Heavy Industries Shipyard, Korea. This is the fifth vessel in a series of six vessels ordered by Bermuda based companies.
The vessel will be classed by BV and built to Liberia flag requirements, scheduled to be delivered on 30th December 2024.
