Delivery of 174k m3 LNGC at HHI

SMC is pleased to announce Delivery of 174K LNGC, HN 3189 (mv “ORION JESSICA”) at Hyundai Heavy Industries, Ulsan, Korea. This vessel was ordered by Jupiter 4 Limited.

The vessel will be classed by DNV and built to Republic of Liberia flag requirements.

Steel Cutting of 63.6k BC at COSCO Zhoushan

SMC is pleased to announce Steel Cutting of 63,600 DWT bulk carrier, Hull No. N1090 at COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry, Zhoushan, China. This is the fifth vessel in a series of eight vessels ordered by Bank of Communications Financial Leasing Co., Ltd. Shanghai, China.

The vessel will be classed by BV and built to Liberia flag requirements, scheduled to be delivered on 31st May 2024.

Launching of 62k MPV at TKS

SMC is pleased to announce Launching of 62,000 DWT MPV, Hull No. TK2202 at Taizhou Kou’an Shipbuilding, China. This is the first vessel in a series of two vessels ordered by Sheng Si Pu Sheng Shipping Co., Ltd, China.

The vessel will be classed by BV and built to Hong Kong flag requirements, scheduled to be delivered on 15th October 2023.

Steel Cutting of 37k BC at SHGSIC

SMC is pleased to announce Steel Cutting of Lake Max Dry cargo 37,000 DWT, Hull No. BC37K-3 at DSIC Shanhaiguan Shipbuilding Industry, China. This is the third vessel in a series of eight vessels ordered by Polsteam, Poland.

The vessel will be classed by LR and built to Malta flag requirements, scheduled to be delivered on 07th June 2024.

Keel Laying of 174k m3 LNG at SHI

SMC is pleased to announce Keel Laying of 174,000 m3 LNG carrier, Hull No. SN2593 at Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) Shipyard, Korea. This is the second vessel in a series of six vessels ordered by Bermuda Based Companies.

The vessel will be classed by ABS and built to Liberia flag requirements, scheduled to be delivered on 30th June 2024.

Delivery of 119.9k DWT DF crude/product oil tanker at GSI

SMC is pleased to announce Delivery of 119,900 DWT DF crude/product oil tanker, Hull No. 20110010 at Guangzhou Shipyard International Company, China. This the seventh vessel in a series of eight vessels ordered by Xiang T133 HK International Ship Leasing Co., Ltd.

The vessel will be classed by ABS+CCS and built to Singapore flag requirements. The vessel delivery of Hull No. 20110010 has been successfully carried out on 08th June 2023.

Keel Laying of 65k BC at SHGSIC

SMC is pleased to announce Keel Laying of 65,000 DWT bulk carrier, Hull No. B65K-1 at Shanhaiguan Shipbuilding Industry, China. This is the first vessel in a series of ten vessels ordered by CITIC Financial Leasing, China.

The vessel will be classed by CCS and built to Chinese flag requirements, scheduled to be delivered on 31st December 2023.

Launching of 1,023 TEU Container DSSE

SMC is pleased to announce Launching of 1,023 TEU container carrier, Hull No. SB675 at Daesun Shipbuilding & Engineering Co., Ltd., Korea. This is the fifth vessel in a series of ten vessels ordered by SITC Shipowning Group Co., Ltd., China.

The vessel will be classed by ABS and built to Hong Kong flag requirements, scheduled to be delivered on 14 August 2023.

Steel Cutting of the first JPM ASTRANFE project in Korea; Samsung Hull No 2596 QG-JPM

SMC is pleased to announce Steel Cutting of 174K LNGC, Hull No. HN2596 at Samsung Heavy Industries, South Korea. This is the first vessel in a series of fourteen vessels ordered by JPM Asset management, London.

The vessel will be classed by ABS and built to Liberia flag requirements, scheduled to be delivered on 31st October 2024.

The steel-cutting ceremony in South Korea follows QatarEnergy’s 2020 decision to enter into ship slot reservation agreements with three South Korean shipyards:

Samsung Heavy Industries, Hyundai Heavy Industries, and Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering (now renamed as Hanhwa Ocean).

The ceremony was held in the presence of Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa al-Thani, CEO of Qatargas, attending on behalf of HE Saad Sherida al-Kaabi, Minister of State for Energy Affairs and President and CEO of QatarEnergy;

Jin-Taek Jung, CEO of Samsung Heavy Industries; and Andy Dacy, CEO of JP Morgan’s Global Transport Group.

With executing this massive LNG fleet expansion project, QG North Field expansion project which will see the increase of LNG production from the North Field by 48 million tons per annum (mtpa), bringing Qatar’s export capacity to 126 mtpa by 2028.

Delivery of 2,600 TEU container at NYZ

SMC is pleased to announce Delivery of 2,600 TEU container vessel, Hull No. N2674 (mv ”SITC HUIMING” – “海丰慧明”) at New Yangzi Shipbuilding, China. This is the 9th vessel in a series of 10 x 2,600 TEU vessels ordered by SITC Shipping Management, China.

The vessel is classed by NK and built to Hong Kong flag requirements.
