On 21 September 2024, SMC hosted its annual Site Managers Seminar Europe session in Tuzla, Istanbul. The event was attended by site managers from project site offices in Turkey, Romania, Poland, Portugal and Netherlands.
The seminar focused on key topics related to development and execution of newbuilding projects in Europe, such as construction supervision objectives, Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), standard e-mail protocols to shipyards, launching readiness, sea trials readiness. Further, update on new version of PAL-NB system, including mobile application was presented and new functionalities tested. Seminar also provided platform for attendees to share their experience, discuss challenges, and explore solutions and enhancements in plan approval and supervision processes.
A highlight of the seminar was the Seniority Awarding Session, where supervisors with 5 years and 10 years of service were recognized for their outstanding and continuous contributions to SMC. Congratulations to all the awardees!
