The vessel will be classed by CCS Register and built to Liberia flag requirements. The delivery of the vessel is scheduled for 31 July 2026.

Launching of Two 50,000 DWT Class Oil/Chemical Tankers at HD Hyundai Mipo

SMC is pleased to announce Launching of two 50,000 DWT class oil / chemical tankers (Hull No. 2912 & No. 2913) at HD Hyundai Mipo Co., Ltd., Korea. This is the first and second vessel in a series of five vessels ordered by PT Pertamina International Shipping, Indonesia.

The vessel will be classed by DNV and built to Panama flag requirements, scheduled to be delivered on 28 October 2025 and 31 October 2025.

SMC is delighted to announce the Steel Cutting ceremony for a 14,000 DWT multi-purpose vessel (Hull No. SF230205) under its supervision at Taizhou Sanfu Ship Engineering Co., Ltd, China. This is the first vessel in a series of ten vessels ordered by Krey Schiffahrts GmbH & Co. KG&Auerbach Schifffahrt GmbH & Co. KG.

The vessel will be classed by DNV and built to Portugal flag requirements. The delivery of the vessel is scheduled for the second quarter of 2026.

SMC is delighted to announce the Steel Cutting Ceremony for a 7,700 DWT bunker tanker (Hull No. HTJ24206) under its supervision at Jiangmen Hangtong Shipyard, China. This is the sixth vessel in a series of ten ordered by Peninsula, Spain.

The vessel will be classed by Lloyd’s Register and built to Madeira flag requirements. The delivery of the vessel is scheduled for 30 December 2026.

SMC is delighted to announce the Steel Cutting Ceremony for a 36,700 DWT lakemax general cargo (Hull No. BC37K-12) under its supervision at DSIC Shanhaiguan Shipbuilding Industry Co., China. This is the twelfth vessel in a series of twelve ordered by Polsteam, Poland.

The vessel will be classed by Lloyd’s Register and built to Portugal flag requirements. The delivery of the vessel is scheduled for 24 August 2026.

Steel Cutting of 40,500 DWT Bulk Carrier at Jiangmen Nanyang Shipyard

SMC is delighted to announce the Steel Cutting event for a 40,500 DWT bulk carrier (Hull No. JNS220) at Jiangmen Nanyang shipyard China. This is the fourth in a series of four vessels ordered by shipowner Messrs. Rongtua Holding, China and being supervised by SMC.

The vessel will be classed by Bureau Veritas and built to Liberia flag requirements. The delivery of the vessel is scheduled for 10 February 2026.

Schulte Marine Concept holds Annual Site Managers Seminar, 28 June 2025

In June, Schulte Marine Concept (SMC) successfully held its 2025 annual Site Managers Seminar in Shanghai. The seminar brought together over 100 participants, including site managers, deputy site managers, and senior supervisors from project sites across China and South Korea. Staff from the Shanghai Head Office, Korean Representative Office, and Mumbai Plan Approval Center also joined.

The seminar covered over ten key topics, with a primary focus on HSE (Health, Safety, Environment), compliance, operations, technical and HR. It also served as a collaborative platform for participants to exchange insights, share and address common challenges, and explore improvements in plan approval and supervision processes.

Guest speech by Lloyd’s Register

The seminar also welcomed Mr. Dimitrios Chalas, Foreign Ship Owner Manager from Lloyd’s Register, as a distinguished guest speaker. He provided valuable insights into international classification standards and regulatory compliance, emphasising key aspects of plan approval processes. His presentation highlighted critical areas such as safety, floatability, pollution control, and statutory certification, along with the roles of key stakeholders in ensuring compliance and quality assurance.
