Steel Cutting of 1,023 TEU container carrier at DSSE

SMC is pleased to announce the Steel Cutting of 1,023 TEU container carrier, Hull No. SB678 at Daesun Shipbuilding & Engineering Co., Ltd, Korea. This is the eighth vessel in a series of ten vessels ordered by SITC Shipowning Group Company Limited, China.
The vessel will be classed by ABS and built to Hong Kong flag requirements, scheduled to be delivered on 12th March 2024.

Keel Laying of 2,600 TEU container at NYZ

SMC is pleased to announce the Keel Laying of 2,600 TEU container vessel, Hull No. N2675 at New Yangzi Shipbuilding Co., Ltd, China. This is the last vessel in a series of 10 x 2,600 TEU vessels ordered by SITC Shipping Management Co., Ltd, China.
The vessel will be classed by NK and built to Hong Kong flag requirements, scheduled to be delivered on 13th July 2023.

Keel Laying of 63.6k bulk carrier at COSCO Zhoushan

SMC is pleased to announce the Keel Laying of 63,600 DWT bulk carrier, Hull No. N1087 at Zhoushan COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry Co., Ltd, China. This is the second vessel in a series of eight vessels ordered by Bank of Communications Financial Leasing Co., Ltd, China.
The vessel will be classed by LR and built to Marshall Islands flag requirements, scheduled to be delivered on 31st August 2023.

Steel Cutting of 33k SUS chemical tanker at DSSE

SMC is pleased to announce the Steel Cutting of 33,000 DWT SUS chemical tanker, Hull No. SB670 at Daesun Shipbuilding & Engineering Co., Ltd, Korea. This is the fourth vessel in a series of five vessels ordered by Ace Tankers Management B.V., Amsterdam, Netherlands.
The vessel will be classed by NK and built to Liberia flag requirements, scheduled to be delivered on 15th April 2024.

Keel Laying of 62K MPV at TKS

SMC is pleased to announce Keel Laying of MPV 62K, Hull No. TK2202 at Taizhou Kou’an Shipbuilding Co., Ltd, China. This is the first vessel in a series of two vessels ordered by Sheng Si Pu Sheng Shipping Co., Ltd, China.
The vessel will be classed by BV and built to Singapore flag requirements, scheduled to be delivered on 19th September 2023.

Delivery of 2,600 TEU container at NYZ

SMC is pleased to announce the Delivery of 2,600 TEU container vessel, Hull No. N2672 (mv ”SITC CHANGMING” – “海丰昌明”) at New Yangzi Shipbuilding, China. This is the 7th vessel in a series of 10 x 2,600 TEU vessels ordered by SITC Shipping Management Co., Ltd, China.
The vessel is classed by NK and built to Hong Kong flag requirements.

Launching of 12.5K LVB at HMD

SMC is pleased to announce the Launching of 12,500 m3 LNG Bunkering Vessel, Hull No. H8370 at Hyundai Mipo Dockyard, South Korea. This vessel is ordered by Scale gas Med Shipping S.L., Spain.
The vessel will be classed by BV and scheduled for delivery in July 2023.

SMC is pleased to announce Keel Laying of 7,000 TEU container vessel, Hull No. H1557 at Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding, China. This is the 8th vessel in a series of 12 x 7,000 TEU vessels ordered by Sea Consortium Pte. Ltd., Singapore.
The vessel will be classed by ABS and built to Singapore flag requirements, scheduled to be delivered on 10th November 2023.

SMC Organisation Changes

Dear Colleagues,

We would like to announce the following changes, effective 1st February 2023:

Steve Nolan will relinquish the Schulte Marine Concept Technical Director role after 9 years of exemplary service. The management of the Schulte Marine Concept would like to thank Steve for his key contribution in this time, where our performance improved significantly, and our business and reputation grew substantially. Steve has played instrumental role in development and introduction of corporate tools and processes, passionately mentoring and coaching our younger colleagues sharing his wast experience and knowledge.

We are also glad to inform, that Steve has kindly agreed to continue supporting SMC in the position of Technical Advisor.

We are pleased to advise that Moka Adinarayana will take over the Technical Director role at SMC, operating from our Shanghai head office. Adi, Project Manager at SMC from 2015, is a senior Naval Architect with extensive experience in shipbuilding, and development and execution of newbuilding projects. Adi is also an architect of PAL-NB module developed for SMC by MariApps.
