Keel Laying of 33k SUS chemical tanker at DSSE
SMC is pleased to announce Keel Laying of 33,000 DWT SUS chemical tanker, Hull No. SB669 at DAESUN Shipbuilding & Engineering Co., Ltd. This is the third vessel in a series of five vessels ordered by Ace Tankers Management B.V., Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
The vessel will be classed by NK and built to Liberia flag requirements, scheduled to be delivered on the 15th of January 2024.
Delivery of 63.5k BC at XYSOE (Sanity Marine)
SMC is pleased to announce Delivery of 63,500 DWT bulk carrier, Hull No. TB1507 (MV “WAN HUI”) at Nantong Xiangyu Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering Co., Ltd. Sanity Marine Shipyard, China. This is the first vessel in a series of two vessels ordered by Vanhui Resources (HK) Co., Ltd, China.
The vessel is classed by Llyod’s Register and built to Panama flag requirements, delivered on 15th May 2023.
Launching of 7,000 TEU container at SWS
SMC is pleased to announce Launching of 7,000 TEU container vessels, Hull No. H1552 and H1553 at Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding, China. This is the 3rd and 4th vessels in a series of 12 x 7,000 TEU vessels ordered by Sea Consortium Pte. Ltd., Singapore
The vessels will be classed by ABS and built to Singapore flag requirements, scheduled to be delivered on 7th August 2023 and 15th August 2023 respectively.
Steel Cutting of 7.6k LBV at CIMC SOE
SMC is pleased to announce Steel Cutting of 7,600 m3 LNG bunkering vessel at CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering, China, Hull No. S1062, the three units of 7,600 m3 LNG bunkering vessel ordered by Seaspan ULC, Canada.
The vessel will be classed by BV and built to Canadian flag requirements. Delivery of the vessel is scheduled for 10th September 2024.
Launching of 63.6k BC at COSCO (Zhoushan)
SMC is pleased to announce launching of 63,600 DWT bulk carrier, Hull No. N1086 at COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry Zhoushan, China. This is the second vessel in a series of eight vessels ordered by Bank of Communications Financial Leasing Co., Ltd. Shanghai, China.
The vessel will be classed by LR and built to Marshall Islands flag requirements, scheduled to be delivered on 30th June 2023.
Steel Cutting of 63.5k DWT BC at CXS
SMC is pleased to announce Steel Cutting of 63,500 DWT bulk carrier, Hull No. CX0669 at Chengxi Shipbuilding, China. This is the fourth vessel in a series of eight vessels ordered by Huaxia Financial Leasing Co., Ltd China.
The vessel will be classed by ABS and built to the flag of Marshall Islands, scheduled to be delivered on 22nd March 2024.
Start Cutting of 35K Floating Dry Dock (NB045) in Gemak Shipyard Turkey
We are pleased to announce that on 02 May 2023 at h 16.25 (GMT+3h) the project 35K Floating Dry Dock (Construction NB045) had achieved first fabrication milestone “Start Cutting” in Gemak Shipyard (NETA Factory) – Turkey.
This is one of the biggest Dry Dock built under SMC Supervision with following characteristics:
Length overall: 253.5 m
Width overall: 54.5 m
Utile Width: 41.0 m
Draft max: 18.3 m
Capacity: 35,000 LT @ 18″ FREEBOARD
Structural Capacity: 85LT/FT in CL
Gross Tonnage: 16500 LT
Class: American Bureau of Shipping (ABS)
and having following milestone date
Steel Cutting: 2023-May-02
Keel Laying: 2023-August-16
Launching: 2024-July-13
Delivery: 2024-November-21

Launching of 2,600 TEU container at NYZ
SMC is pleased to announce Launching of 2,600 TEU container vessel, Hull No. N2675 at New Yangzi Shipbuilding, Jiangsu, China. This is the last vessel in a series of 10 x 2,600 TEU vessels ordered by SITC Shipping Management Co., Ltd. China.
The vessel will be classed by NK and built to Hong Kong flag requirements, scheduled to be delivered on 30th June 2023.

SMC is pleased to announce Delivery of 63,600 DWT bulk carrier, Hull No. N1086 at COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry Zhoushan, China. This is the first vessel in a series of eight vessels ordered by Bank of Communications Financial Leasing Co., Ltd. Shanghai, China.
The vessel will be classed by LR and built to Marshall Islands flag requirements, scheduled to be delivered on 27th April 2023.
SMC Site Manager Seminar Officially Back on Track
Schulte Marine Concept (SMC) successfully held Site Manager Seminar in Shanghai on 15th – 16th April 2023 after the Covid related restrictions were officially lifted in China. Numbers of participants reached a record high since the first seminar held in 2013 – more than 80 attendants, including Site Managers, Deputy Site Managers, Senior Supervisors, and teams from Shanghai Head Office and Korean Representative Office participated.
The Schulte Group CEO Mr. Ian Beveridge, BSM China Managing Director Capt. Umesh Lulla and experts from MAN Energy Solutions were special guests and speakers at the seminar. Altogether 34 topics, technical, operational, HR, HSSE have been presented and discussed.
