Launching ceremony of mv ”Dolce Vita”

SMC is pleased to report launching ceremony in Jiangyin Chengxi Shipyard, China: of mv ”Dolce Vita”, Hull No. CX366, the second unit from the series of 2×38,800 DWT Bulk Carrier ordered by Aquavita International.
Vessel’s principal particulars: LOA = 179.95m, B = 32.2m, D = 15m, T d/s = 9.50/10.50m. Propelled by Wartsila 5RT-flex 50-D Tier II developing 6,100 KW x 99 rpm at NCR the vessel will operate at the speed of 13.8 knots. All vessels in the series are classed by DNV and will be built to Marshall Island flag requirements.
Classification notes: DNV +1A1 Bulk Carrier, ESP, CSR, BC-A, Holds 2,4 may be empty, HA(+), ICE-1C, GRAB[20], DG-B, BIS, TMON, BWM-T, CLEAN, ED, COAT-PSPC(B), Recyclable.

Vessel’s principal particulars: LOA = 229.0m, B = 32.26m, D = 20.0m, T d/s = 12.2/14.45m. Propelled by MAN B&W 6S60ME-C8.2 and developing 7,100 KW x 80.3 rpm at NCR the vessel will operate at the speed of 14.5 knots. Launching mt ”Flagship Juniper”

SMC is pleased to report Launching in Daehan Shipyard, Mokpo, Korea: of mt ”Flagship Juniper”, Hull No. 5403, the last unit from the series of 4 x 114,900 DWT LR2 Product/Crude Oil Carrier ordered by Prime Tanker Management from Greece.
Vessel’s principal particulars: LOA = 255.9m, B = 43.0m, D = 21.2m, T d/s = 13.6/15.1m. Propelled by MAN B&W 6G60ME-C9.2 and developing 9,100 KW x 71.9 rpm at NCR the vessel will operate at the speed of 14.5 knots. All vessels are classed to DNV-GL with the following class notation: DNV-GL +1A1 Tanker for Oil ESP, CSR, SPM, BIS, TMON, BWM-E(s), BWM-T, CLEAN, E0, LCS, VCS-2, Recyclable, COAT-PSPC(B), ECA(SOx-A), OPP-F.

Delivery of MV “Taugas”

SMC is pleased to report delivery in STX Offshore & Shipbuilding, Korea: of mv ”Taugas”, Hull No. S4033, the third unit from the series of 6 x 12 000 m3 ethylene/LPG/NH3/VCM gas carrier ordered by Sloman-Neptun.
Vessel’s principal particulars: LOA = 146.20m, B = 22.60m, D = 12.10m, T d/s = 7.40/9.30m. Propelled by STX MAN 6S40ME-B9.1 and developing 6,129 KW x 141 rpm at NCR the vessel will operate at the speed of 16.4 knots. All vessels in the series are classed by DnV.GL and will be built to Antiqua & Barbuda flag requirements.
Classification notes: +1A1 Tanker for liquefied gas, Ship type 2G (-104 deg C, 972 Kg/m3, 5.0 bar), E0, TMON, BIS, COAT-PSPC(B), BWM-E(S) & BWM-T, ICE-C1.
The vessel will be chartered by UNIGAS POOL PARTNERS
Leaving of the vessel from STX is scheduled for 21st August 2015.

Keel Laying ceremony of M/T “Njord Rolf”

SMC is pleased to report Keel Laying ceremony in Sungdong Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering Co., Ltd., South-Korea: of M/T “Njord Rolf”, Hull No. S3092. This is the second Keel Laying from the series of 6 x 50,000 DWT Product/ Chemical tanker (IMO Type: II) ordered by Breakwater Capital.
Vessel’s principal particulars: LOA = 183.0m, B = 32.2m, D = 19.1m, T d/s = 11.0/13.3m. Propelled by MAN B&W 6G50ME-B9.3 with ECT Part Load tuning and developing 6,219 KW x 83.9 rpm at NCR the vessel will operate at the speed of 15 knots. All vessels in the series are classed by Lloyd’s Register and will be built to Singapore flag requirements.

Yangfan Group Co., Ltd, Zhejiang East Coast Shipyard, China: Launching of H2297 (MV “MIRAMAR”), the fifth vessel from a series of 12 units of 2,345 container vessels ordered jointly by B.Schulte and J.P.Morgan.
With principal particulars: L = 189.00m, B = 30.4m, D = 16.9m, T d/s = 8.5/10.5m, container capacity on deck = 1,386 TEU, container capacity in holds = 959 TEU, refrigerated containers = 500 FEU, dwt d/s = 20,950/30,350t, vessel is propelled by main engine MAN B&W 6G60ME-C9.2 Tier II, 12,832KW x 97rpm. Classification notation: LR +100A1 Container Ship, Ship Right (SDA, FDA plus(25 N/A), ACS(B), CM), LI, *IWS, ECO (IHM, EEDI-3), +LMC, UMS, NAV1, Descriptive Notes: ShipRight(SCM, SERS, (BWMP(T)).
The delivery of H2297 was scheduled on July 2015.

Propelled by MAN B&W 6G50ME-B9.3 with EGB Low Load tuning and developing 5,344 KW x 82.7 RPM at NCR the vessel will operate at the speed of 14 knots. The vessel is classed by ABS and will be built to Marshall Islands flag requirements.
