SMC is pleased to announce Launching of 1,023 TEU container carrier, Hull No. SB675 at Daesun Shipbuilding & Engineering Co., Ltd., Korea. This is the fifth vessel in a series of ten vessels ordered by SITC Shipowning Group Co., Ltd., China.

The vessel will be classed by ABS and built to Hong Kong flag requirements, scheduled to be delivered on 14 August 2023.

SMC is pleased to announce Steel Cutting of 174K LNGC, Hull No. HN2596 at Samsung Heavy Industries, South Korea. This is the first vessel in a series of fourteen vessels ordered by JPM Asset management, London.

The vessel will be classed by ABS and built to Liberia flag requirements, scheduled to be delivered on 31st October 2024.

The steel-cutting ceremony in South Korea follows QatarEnergy’s 2020 decision to enter into ship slot reservation agreements with three South Korean shipyards:

Samsung Heavy Industries, Hyundai Heavy Industries, and Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering (now renamed as Hanhwa Ocean).

The ceremony was held in the presence of Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa al-Thani, CEO of Qatargas, attending on behalf of HE Saad Sherida al-Kaabi, Minister of State for Energy Affairs and President and CEO of QatarEnergy;

Jin-Taek Jung, CEO of Samsung Heavy Industries; and Andy Dacy, CEO of JP Morgan’s Global Transport Group.

With executing this massive LNG fleet expansion project, QG North Field expansion project which will see the increase of LNG production from the North Field by 48 million tons per annum (mtpa), bringing Qatar’s export capacity to 126 mtpa by 2028.

SMC is pleased to announce Delivery of 2,600 TEU container vessel, Hull No. N2674 (mv ”SITC HUIMING” – “海丰慧明”) at New Yangzi Shipbuilding, China. This is the 9^th vessel in a series of 10 x 2,600 TEU vessels ordered by SITC Shipping Management, China.

The vessel is classed by NK and built to Hong Kong flag requirements.

SMC is pleased to announce Launching of 7,000 TEU container vessel, Hull No. H1554 at Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co. Ltd., China. This is the 5th vessel in a series of 12 x 7,000 TEU vessels ordered by Sea Consortium Pte. Ltd., Singapore.

The vessel will be classed by ABS and built to Singapore flag requirements, scheduled to be delivered on 31st August 2023.

SMC is pleased to announce Steel Cutting of 174,000 m³ LNG carrier, Hull No. SN 2596 at Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI), Korea. This is the vessel ordered by ASTRA 11 Limited.

The vessel will be classed by ABS and built to the flag of Republic of Liberia, scheduled to delivery on 8th of October 2024.

SMC is pleased to announce the Keel Laying ceremony completion of 13,200 TEU container vessel, Hull No. SN 2576 at Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) Shipyard, Korea. This is the 6th vessel in a series of 13 x 12,300 TEU vessels ordered by Wan Hai Lines, Taipei.

The vessel was classed by ABS and built to Singapore flag requirements.

SMC is pleased to announce the Launching ceremony completion of 13,200 TEU container vessel, Hull No. SN 2575 at Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) Shipyard, Korea.

This is the 5^th vessel in a series of 13 vessels ordered by Wan Hai Lines, Taipei.

The vessel was classed by ABS and built to Singapore flag requirements.

SMC is pleased to announce the Steel Cutting ceremony completion of 13,200 TEU container vessel, Hull No. SN 2626 at Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) Shipyard, Korea. This is the 9^th vessel in a series of 13 vessels ordered by Wan Hai Lines, Taipei.

The vessel was classed by ABS and built to Singapore flag requirements.

SMC is pleased to announce Keel Laying of 33,000 DWT SUS chemical tanker, Hull No. SB669 at DAESUN Shipbuilding & Engineering Co., Ltd. This is the third vessel in a series of five vessels ordered by Ace Tankers Management B.V., Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

The vessel will be classed by NK and built to Liberia flag requirements, scheduled to be delivered on the 15th of January 2024.

SMC is pleased to announce Delivery of 63,500 DWT bulk carrier, Hull No. TB1507 (MV “WAN HUI”) at Nantong Xiangyu Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering Co., Ltd. Sanity Marine Shipyard, China. This is the first vessel in a series of two vessels ordered by Vanhui Resources (HK) Co., Ltd, China.

The vessel is classed by Llyod’s Register and built to Panama flag requirements, delivered on 15th May 2023.
