Keel Laying of Hull No. H.2531
SMC is pleased to report Keel Laying Ceremony in Hyundai Mipo Dockyard Co., LTD. Ulsan Korea: Hull No. H.2531, the 1st unit from the series of 10 x 50,000 DWT Product/ Chemical tankers IMO Type II ordered by Oman Shipping Company S.A.O.C.
Vessel’s principal particulars: LOA = 183.0m, B = 32.2m, D = 19.1m, T d/s = 11.0/13.2m. Propelled by MAN B&W 6G50ME-B9.3 with EGB Low Load tuning and developing 5,344 KW x 82.7 RPM at NCR the vessel will operate at the speed of 14 knots. The vessel is classed by ABS and will be built to Marshall Islands flag requirements.

Launching of Hull No. GWS486
SMC is pleased to report Launching in Guangzhou Wenchong Shipyard of Hull No. GWS486, 1,700 TEU Container Vessel ordered by CSSC (Hong Kong) Shipping Company Limited.
Vessel’s principal particulars: LOA = 172.0m, B = 27.4m, D = 13.8m, T d/s = 8.5/9.5m. Propelled by Wartsila 6RT-flex58T-E TII with low load tuning and developing 12,204 kW x 101.4 r/min @ CSR. The vessel will operate at the speed of 19.65 knots at the designed draft of 8.50 m. The vessel is classed by Germanischer Lloyd and will be built to Singapore flag requirements.

Delivery of the vessel is scheduled for 10th October 2015.
launching of mt “Torm Thor”
SMC is pleased to report launching of M/T “Torm Thor”, Hull No. S3087 in Sungdong Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering Co., Ltd., South-Korea. This is the first vessel launching from the series of 6 x 50,000 DWT Product/ Chemical tanker (IMO Type: II) ordered by Breakwater Capital.
Vessel’s principal particulars: LOA = 183.0m, B = 32.2m, D = 19.1m, T d/s = 11.0/13.3m. Propelled by MAN B&W 6G50ME-B9.3 with ECT Part Load tuning and developing 6,219 KW x 83.9 rpm at NCR the vessel will operate at the speed of 15 knots. All vessels in the series are classed by Lloyd’s Register and will be built to Singapore flag requirements.

Delivery of mv “Antares”
SMC is pleased to report a Delivery Ceremony in Jiangsu Yizheng Jinling Shipyard, China: of mv ”ANTARES”, Hull No. JLZ8130404, the second unit from the series of 4x 81,600 DWT Bulk Carrier ordered by Transocean Maritime Agencies.
Vessel’s principal particulars: LOA = 229.00m, B = 32.26m, D = 20.05m, T d/s = 12.20/14.45m. Propelled by MAN B&W 6S60ME-C8.2-TII engine and developing 7,110 kW @81.9rpm at CSR the vessel will operate at the speed of 14.2 knots. All vessels in the series are classed by DNV and will be built to Marshall Island flag requirements.

Delivery of mv “Celtic Gas”, Hull No. S4025
SMC is pleased to report delivery of LPG “CELTIC GAS”, hull No. S4025, from STX Offshore & Shipbuilding, Korea. The vessel is the last from a series of 4 x 22,000 cbm LPG carriers, ordered by Ultragas International S.A.
Principal particulars: LOA = 159.7 m, B = 26.6 m, D = 17.4 m, T design/scantling = 8.4/11.2 m. Propelled by MAN B&W 6S50ME-C8.2 (derated) developing 6,579 KW x 110 rpm at NCR, the vessel will operate at a service speed of 16 knots.
The Danish flagged vessels are classed under Lloyd’s Register (LRS), with following characters: +100A1, Liquefied Gas Carrier, Ship Type 2G, Propylene, Propane, Commercial Propane, Propane-Butane Mixtures, Anhydrous Ammonia, Vinyl Chloride Monomer (VCM), I-Butane, Butylenes, Butadiene, N-Butane, Dimethylamine, Diethyl ether, Ethylamine, Isoprene(Monomer), Isopropylamine, Vinyl Ethyl Ether, C4-Fraction, Pentanes(all Isomers), Pentene(all Isomers), Maximum Pressure 5.3 bar and Minimum Temperature -52°C, Specific Gravity 972 Kg/m3, ShipRight (ACS(B)), +LMC, UMS, LI, *IWS, “ShipRight(BWMP(S,T),SCM)”,+Lloyd7sRMC(LG), Green Passport.
The vessel sailed from shipyard on June 23 and will carry out gas trials from June 27 to July 1.

SMC is pleased to report Steel Cutting Ceremony in Zhejiang Ouhua Shipbuilding Co., Ltd, China: of mv ”Tribini Tin Hau”, Hull No. 691, the first unit from the series of 2 x 2700 TEU Container Vessel ordered by Skelby Shipping Limited.
Vessel’s principal particulars: LOA = 186.25m, B = 33.20m, D = 17.90m, T d/freeboard = 8.50/11.0m. Propelled by HHM main engine 6G60ME – C9.2 Tier II, with EGB tuning method and developing when SMRC – 12,200 KW x 85.0 rpm and when NCR (90% SMRC) – 10980 kW. The vessel will operate:
– at the service speed of 18.3 knots (when Tdesign, NCR).
– at the operation speed of 17.7 knots (when Tdesign, 80% SMCR).
– at the ECO speed of 17 knots (when Tdesidn, 71% SMCR) .
All vessels in the series are classed by Germanischer Lloyd and will be built to Hong Kong flag requirements.

SMC is pleased to report Steel Cutting Ceremony in Zhejiang Zhengzhou Shipbuilding Co. Ltd., China for M/V ”Interlink Cilvility”, Hull No. ZZ058, the first unit from the series of 5 x 39,000 dwt Emerald Open Hatch Bulk Carriers ordered by Interlink Maritime Corporation, Bermuda
Vessel’s principal particulars: LOA = 179.90m, B = 30m, D = 14.80m, Td/s = 9.50/10.60m. Propelled by one MAN B&W 5S50ME-B9.2 developing 4,810 kW x 91.7 rpm at NCR, the vessel will operate at the speed of about 14 knots.
All vessels in the series are classed by Lloyd’s Register and will be built to Marshall Islands flag requirements.

Propelled by MAN B&W 6G60ME-C9.2 with Energy saving rudder bulb and developing 9,100 KW x 71.9 rpm at NCR the vessel will operate at the speed of 14.5 knots. Delivery of MV “ZOE SCHULTE”
SMC is pleased to report delivery in STX Offshore & Shipbuilding, Korea: of mv ”ZOE SCHULTE”, Hull No. S4032, the second unit from the series of 6 x 12 000 m3 ethylene/LPG/NH3/VCM gas carrier ordered by Bernhard Schulte.
Vessel’s principal particulars: LOA = 146.20m, B = 22.60m, D = 12.10m, T d/s = 7.40/9.30m. Propelled by STX MAN 6S40ME-B9.1 and developing 6,129 KW x 141 rpm at NCR the vessel will operate at the speed of 16.4 knots. All vessels in the series are classed by DnV.GL and will be built to Isle of Man flag requirements.
