Launching of 325K DWT VLOC at BSIC
SMC is pleased to announce launching of 325,000 DWT VLOC, Hull No. OC325K-5 at Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding Heavy Industry, China. This is fifth vessel in a series of six vessels order by ICBC Merchants, China.
The vessel will be classed by ABS & CCS and built to Hong Kong flag requirements.
The vessel will be delivered on Nov.2020 as yard’s presently production schedule.
Launching of 6X2400 TEU Container Ship at NYS
SMC is pleased to announce Launching Ceremony of MV” Hull No. YZJ2015-2013 in New Yangzi Shipyard, China, the 6th unit from the series of 6X2400 TEU Container SHIP ordered by SITC.
Vessels in the series are classed by class NK will be built to Hongkong flag requirements.
Delivery of the vessel is scheduled for 30th November 2020 according Contract.

The vessel will be classed by LR & CCS and built to Hong Kong flag requirements.
Commencement in dock at STX
SMC is pleased to announce the Commencement in Dock of Hull No. S1922 at STX Offshore & Shipbuilding Korea, the first unit from a series of 2 x 49,800 DWT Class Crude Oil / Product Oil / Chemical Tanker ordered by Island Navigation Corporation International., Ltd of Hong Kong.
Technical management of the vessel will be by Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement (BSM) of Singapore
Keel laying of 2,700 TEU container vessel at New Yangzi
SMC is pleased to report keel laying ceremony at New Yangzi Shipyard, China: of Hull No. YZJ2015-2024, the 3rd unit from the series of three 2,700 TEU container vessels ordered by SITC, China.
Vessels in the series are classed by DNV-GL and will be built to Hongkong flag requirements.
Delivery of the vessel is scheduled for 28th February 2021 according to shipbuilding contract.
Delivery of MV “SITC Nansha” – 2,400 TEU container vessel
SMC is pleased to report delivery ceremony in New Yangzi Shipyard, CHINA: of MV “SITC Nansha”, Hull No: YZJ2015-2012, the 5th unit from the series of six 2,400 TEU container vessels ordered by SITC. Delivery ceremony was held on 12th August.
Two vessels in the series are classed by DNV-GL Last Four are classed by Class-NK will be built to Hongkong flag requirements.
Keel laying of rail car carrier at Huangpu Wenchong
SMC is pleased to report Keel laying in Guangzhou Huangpu Wenchong Shipyard Offshore Engineering Co., Ltd., China: of Hull No. H3089, the first unit from the series of 2 x 19,000 DWT rail car carrier ordered by SEABULK LLC USA.
All vessels in the series are classed by ABS and will be built to Marshall Island flag requirements.
Delivery of the vessel is scheduled for 25th March 2021.
Keel laying of 2,700 TEU container vessel at New Yangzi
SMC is pleased to report keel laying ceremony at New Yangzi Shipyard, China: of Hull No. YZJ2015-2024, the 2nd unit from the series of three 2,700 TEU container vessels ordered by SITC, China.
Vessels in the series are classed by DNV-GL and will be built to Hongkong flag requirements.
Delivery of the vessel is scheduled for 31st December 2020 according to shipbuilding contract.
Delivery of mv “CL Guilin” – 208,000 DWT bulk carriers
SMC is pleased to report vessel delivery at Jiangsu Xinfu Shipbuilding Co. Ltd., China, of mv “CL Guilin”, Hull No. H2017-1276, the sixth unit from the series of ten 208,000 DWT bulk carriers ordered by China Development Bank Financial Leasing Co. Ltd., China.
The vessel will be classed by ABS and built to Liberia flag requirements.
Vessel delivery on 6th August 2020.
Sea trial of 82,000 DWT bulk carrier
SMC is pleased to report the sea trial was carried out from 18th to 23rd of July 2020 for Hull No. N2162, 82,000 DWT bulk carrier at New Yangzijiang Shipyard Co., Ltd. China.
The vessel will be delivered to Yangzijiang Shipping Pte Ltd. and will be chartered by V. Ship on 18th August 2020 as per production schedule.
The vessel is classed by BV and will be built to Liberia flag requirements.
