Launching of 82,000 DWT Bulk Carrier at Hengli Shipyard
SMC is delighted to announce the Launching Ceremony for an 82,000 DWT bulk carrier (Hull No. HN2007) under its supervision at Hengli Shipyard, China. This is the third vessel in a series of four vessels ordered by Hairun Shipping Limited Company, China.
The vessel will be classed by NK Register and built to Liberia flag requirements. The delivery of the vessel is scheduled for 15 December 2024.
Steel Cutting of Commissioning Service Operation Vessel at Ulstein Verft AS
SMC is delighted to announce the Steel Cutting event on 01 October 2024, for Commissioning Service Operation Vessel (Hull No. YN323) at Ulstein Shipyard, Crist yard, Poland. This is the second vessel in a series of two ordered by shipowner Alpha 5 Limited and being supervised by SMC.
The vessel will be classed by DNV and built to NIS flag requirements. The delivery of the vessel is scheduled for 2Q of 2026.
Lunching of 50,000 DWT Chemical Oil Tanker at Zhoushan Changhong International Shipyard
SMC is delighted to announce the Launching Ceremony for a 50,000 DWT chemical/oil tanker [SILVER MOON] under its supervision at Zhoushan Changhong International Shipyard Co., Ltd, China. This is the second vessel in a series of four ordered by Pro Tanker Investment Co., Ltd, Singapore.
The vessel will be classed by Lloyd’s Register and built to Singapore flag requirements. The delivery of the vessel is scheduled for 23 January 2025.
Keel Laying of 62,000 DWT Heavy-lift Multi-purpose Vessel at Chengxi Shipyard
SMC is delighted to announce Keel Laying Ceremony for a 62,000 DWT Heavy-lift Multi-purpose Vessel (Hull No. CX9609) under its supervision at CSSC Chengxi Shipyard (Yangzhou), China. This is the ninth vessel in a series of twelve ordered by Bank of Communications Financials Leasing Co., Ltd, China.
The vessel will be classed by CCS and built to Liberia flag requirements. The delivery of the vessel is scheduled for 16 February 2025.
Launching of 62,000 DWT Heavy-lift Multi-purpose Vessel at CSSC Chengxi Shipyard
SMC is delighted to announce the Launching Ceremony for a 62,000 DWT heavy-lift multi-purpose vessel (Hull No. CX9607) under its supervision at CSSC Chengxi Shipyard (Yangzhou), China. This is the seventh vessel in a series of twelve ordered by Bank of Communications Financials Leasing Co., Ltd, China.
The vessel will be classed by CCS and built to Liberia flag requirements. The delivery of the vessel is scheduled for 07 December 2024.
Delivery of 63,600 DWT Bulk Carrier at COSCO Zhoushan Shipyard
SMC is delighted to announce the Delivery Ceremony for a 63,600 DWT bulk [EMERALD JINTANG] under its supervision at COSCO SHPPING Heavy Industry (Zhoushan) Co., Ltd, China. This is the second vessel in a series of three ordered by Hong Kong Zhoushan Yi Hai Shipping Co., Limited.
The vessel will be classed by CCS register and built to Liberia flag requirements.
Launching of 65,000 DWT Bulk Carriers at DSIC Shanhaiguan Shipyard
SMC is delighted to announce the Launching Ceremony for two 65,000 DWT bulk carriers (Hull No. B65K-6 and B65K-7) under its supervision at DSIC Shanhaiguan Shipyard, China. This is the sixth and seventh vessel in a series of ten ordered by CHN Energy Group Shipping Co., Ltd.
The vessel will be classed by CCS Register and built to China flag requirements. The delivery of the vessels is scheduled for 6 January 2025.
Delivery Ceremony of 37,000 DWT LakeMax General Cargo at DSIC Shipyard
SMC is delighted to announce the Delivery Ceremony for an 37,000 DWT LakeMax General Cargo, Hull No. BC37K-4 under its supervision at DSIC Shanhaiguan Shipbuilding Industry Co., China. This is the fourth vessel in a series of twelve ordered by Polsteam, Poland.
The vessel will be classed by Lloyd’s Register and built to Portugal flag requirements. The delivery of the vessel is scheduled for 26 September 2024.
SMC Quarterly Summary – Q3 2024
SMC is delighted to announce the successful delivery of 15 vessels in the third quarter of 2024. Vessel types include bulk carriers, gas carriers, multipurpose vessels and container ships. Notably, this quarter marks the delivery of the first LNG bunkering vessel of series three units ordered by Seaspan ULC.

SMC is delighted to announce the Keel Laying Ceremony for a 174,000 m3 LNG carrier (Hull no. SN2638) under its supervision at Samsung Heavy Industries, Korea. This is the vessel ordered by Tropic 13 Limited, Bermuda.
The vessel will be classed by LR and built to Republic of Liberia flag requirements. The delivery of the vessel is scheduled for 16 July 2025.
