Keel Laying of 93,500 TLC Floating Dry Dock at Qingdao Beihai Shipyard

SMC is delighted to announce the Keel Laying Ceremony for a 93,500 TLC floating dry dock (Hull No. FDD93.5K-1) under its supervision at Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding Co. Ltd., China. This is the first FDD in a series of two ordered by Grand Bahama Shipyard Limited, Bahamas.

The vessel will be classed by Lloyd’s Register and built to Bahamas flag requirements. The delivery of the vessel is scheduled for 07 August 2025.

Delivery of 174,000 m3 LNGC at SHI

SMC is delighted to announce the Delivery of a 174,000 m3 LNG carrier [Orion Iris] under its supervision at Samsung Heavy Industries, Korea. This is the fourth vessel in a series of six vessels ordered by Bermuda based companies.

The vessel is classed by ABS and built to Liberia flag requirements.

Steel Cutting of 49,800 DWT Methanol Dual Fuel Chemical/Product Oil Tanker at GSI

SMC is delighted to announce the Steel Cutting Ceremony for a 49,800 DWT methanol dual fuel chemical/product oil tanker (Hull No. 23110051) under its supervision at Guangzhou Shipyard International Co., Ltd, China. This is the second vessel in a series of six ordered by Bermuda based companies.

The vessel will be classed by Bureau Veritas and built to Liberia flag requirements. The delivery of the vessel is scheduled for 21 November 2025.

Keel Laying of 82,000 DWT Bulk Carrier at Jiangsu New Hantong Shipyard

SMC is delighted to announce the Keel Laying Ceremony for an 82,000 DWT bulk carrier (Hull No. HT82-288) under its supervision at Jiangsu New Hantong Ship Heavy Industry Co., Ltd, China. This is the third vessel in a series of four ordered by Scion Shipping & Trading, GmbH & Co. KG.

The vessel will be classed by Lloyd’s Register and built to Liberia flag requirements. The delivery of the vessel is scheduled for 12 January 2025.

Steel Cutting of 50,000 DWT Chemical Tanker at Global Shipbuilding Yangzhou

SMC is delighted to announce the Steel Cutting Ceremony for a 50,000 DWT chemical tanker (Hull No. HQ809) under its supervision at Global Shipbuilding Yangzhou, China. This is the first vessel in a series of two ordered by Hongkong Zhong Peng Freight Co., Ltd, China.

The vessel will be classed by LR and built to Hong Kong flag requirements. The delivery of the vessel is scheduled on 11 October 2025.

SMC is delighted to announce Keel Laying Ceremony for a 62,000DWT heavy-lift multi-purpose vessel (Hull No. CX9608) under its supervision at CSSC Chengxi Shipyard (Yangzhou), China. This is the eighth vessel in a series of twelve ordered by Bank of Communications Financials Leasing Co., Ltd, China.

The vessel will be classed by CCS and built to Liberia flag requirements. The delivery of the vessel is scheduled on 04 January 2025.

Launching of 62,000 DWT Heavy-lift Multi-purpose Vessel at CCSC Chengxi Shipyard

SMC is delighted to announce the Launching Ceremony for a 62,000 DWT heavy-lift multi-purpose vessel (Hull No. CX9606) under its supervision at CSSC Chengxi Shipyard (Yangzhou), China. This is the sixth vessel in a series of twelve ordered by Bank of Communications Financials Leasing Co., Ltd, China.

The vessel will be classed by CCS and built to Liberia flag requirements. The delivery of the vessel is scheduled on 19 November 2024.
