Steel cutting of 113,000 DWT crude oil tanker at COSCO Zhoushan
SMC is pleased to report Steel Cutting at Zhoushan COSCO Heavy Industries Ltd, China, of Hull No. N756, the second unit from a series of two 113,000 DWT crude oil tanker ordered by Union Maritime, UK.
The vessel will be classed by LR and built to Marshal Island flag requirements.
Delivery of the vessel is scheduled for 31st August 2021.
Delivery of MV CSIC LIAO NING’ – 308,000 DWT VLCC
SMC is pleased to report steel cutting of 210,000 DWT bulk carrier, Hull No. H1519 at Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding. She is the second vessel from the series of four such bulk carriers ordered by CITIC.
The vessel will be classed by BV and built to Hongkong flag requirements.
Delivery of the vessel is scheduled for 30th April 2021.
Keel laying of 2,700 TEU container vessel at New Yangzi
SMC is pleased to report Keel Laying Ceremony in New Yangzi Shipyard, CHINA: of 2,700 TEU container vessel, Hull No. YZJ2015-2022, the 1st unit from the series of three 2,700 TEU container ships ordered by SITC, China.
Vessels in the series are classed by DNV-GL will be built to Hongkong flag requirements.
Delivery of the vessel is scheduled for 31st October 2020.
Keel laying of 82,000 DWT bulk carrier at YAMIC
SMC is pleased to report Keel Laying at “Jiangsu Yangzhi – Mitsui Shipbuiilding Co., Ltd” (YAMIC), China, of 82,000 DWT bulk carrier, Hull No. YZJ2015-2098, the second and last unit of the series ordered by United Wave Shipping, Panama.
The Vessel will be classed by Class NK and built to Panamanian Flag requirements.
Delivery of MV OCEAN AMBITION – 63,500 DWT bulk carrier
SMC is pleased to report delivery ceremony at Yangzhou New Dayang Shipbuilding Co., Ltd, China: of MV OCEAN AMBITION, Hull No. DY4065, the 2nd unit from the series of three 63,500 DWT bulk carrier ordered by SUMEC.
Vessel’s supervision work was taken over by SMC at the midway of construction on 25th February 2019.
Delivery of mv “GW Fortune” – 55,600 DWT chemical tanker
SMC is pleased to report naming ceremony at Chengxi Shipyard (Yangzhou) CO., LTD, of mv “GW Fortune”, Hull No. CX5002, the second unit from the series of two 55,600 DWT chemical tankers ordered by Goldwin, Hongkong.
The vessel is classed by LR and built to Hongkong flag requirements.
Delivery of the vessel is on 18th August 2020.
Delivery of mv ORE FUZHOU – 325,000 DWT VLOC
SMC is pleased to report delivery at Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding Heavy Industry Co., Ltd, China of MV “ORE FUZHOU”, Hull No. OC325K-2, the second unit from the series of six 325,000 DWT VLOCs ordered by ICBCL&CMES, China.
The vessel will be is classed by DNV-GL and CCS and built to Hong Kong flag requirements.
Lauching of 82,000 DWT bulk carrier at Chengxi
SMC is pleased to report launching at Chengxi Shipyard (Jiangyin) Co., Ltd of 82,000 DWT bulk carrier, Hull No. CX0825B, the fourth unit from the series of four 82,000 DWT bulk carriers order by Bank of Communication Finance Leasing Co., Ltd, China.
The vessel will be classed by CCS and built to Marshall flag requirements.
Delivery of the vessel is scheduled for 23rd June 2020.
Keel laying of 82,000 DWT bulk carrier at New Yangzi
SMC is pleased to report the keel laying ceremony for Hull No.N2162, 82000 DWT bulk carrier in New Yangzijiang Shipyard, China.
All vessels in the series are classed by LR and will be built to Marshall flag requirements.
Delivery of the vessel is scheduled for August.2020.
Delivery of FPSO hull at COSCO Zhoushan
SMC is pleased to report the delivery at COSCO Heavy Industries, Zhoushan (“COSCO Zhoushan”), China of the FPSO “Energean Power”, Hull No. N808, ordered by Energean oil and Gas, Greece. On the day of delivery, the hull departed COSCO Zhoushan for her sea voyage to Singapore.
The unit, after completion of the topside modules’ installation in Sembcorp Admiralty Shipyard, Singapore, is going to be installed on Karish gas field offshore Israel.
She was the fruit of the hard work and dedication of the entire team working together towards the same goal. The entire COSCO project management team demonstrated full dedication to this Project in course of over 16 months of the Project. This was matched with equal efforts made by construction, engineering, procurement, commercial and all other departments.
The delivery followed the ceremony held two days before to celebrate the remarkable achievement of 5 million man-hours spent on the project with ZERO LTI and total of 4,500 people involved.
During the Project SMC site team worked long hours over 17,000 inspections without stopping for single day during COVID-19 epidemy lockdown.
