Delivery of 7,000 TEU container at SWS
SMC is pleased to announce Delivery of 7,000 TEU container vessel, Hull No. H1556 at Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding, China. This is the 8th vessel in a series of 12 x 7,000 TEU vessels ordered by Sea Consortium Pte. Ltd., Singapore.
The vessel has been classed by ABS and built to Singapore flag requirements.
Keel Laying of 63.5k BC at CXS
SMC is pleased to announce Keel Laying of 63,500 DWT bulk carrier, Hull No. CX0669 at Cheng xi Shipbuilding, China. This is the third vessel in a series of eight vessels ordered by Huaxia Financial Leasing Co., Ltd, China.
The vessel will be classed by ABS and built to the flag of Marshall Islands, scheduled to be delivered on 17 January, 2024.
Delivery of 63.5k BC at XYSOE
SMC is pleased to announce Delivery of 63,500 DWT bulk carrier, Hull No. XY076 at Nantong Xiangyu Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering Co., Ltd, China. This is the first vessel in a series of six vessels ordered by Huaxia Financial Leasing Co. Ltd, China.
The vessel was classed by BV and built to Liberia flag requirements.
Keel Laying of 588 TEU container at XLS
SMC is pleased to announce Keel Laying of 588 TEU container vessel, Hull No. XL-201 at Ningbo Xinle Shipyard, China. This is the 1st vessel in a series of four vessels (CV588*2 vessels + CV696*2 vessels) ordered by PT Perusahaan Pelayaran Nusantara Panurjwan, Indonesia.
The vessel will be Classed by BV and built to Panama flag requirements, scheduled to be delivered on 30 March, 2024.
Launching Ceremony of Two SOVs at ZPMC
SMC is pleased to announce Launching of two SOVs – 100P & 60P, Hull No. H1107 and H1109 at ZPMC, Qidong, China. These vessels were ordered by Shanghai Electric Group, China, making the first time SOVs built in Asia.
These vessels will be classed by CCS and built to China flag requirements, scheduled to be delivered at end of this year and Q1 of next year.
Steel Cutting of 37k BC at DSIC
SMC is pleased to announce Steel Cutting of 37,000 DWT lakemax dry cargo, Hull No. BC37K-4 at DSIC Shanhaiguan Shipbuilding Industry, China. This is the fourth vessel in a series of eight vessels ordered by Polsteam, Poland.
The vessel will be classed by LR and built to Malta flag requirements, scheduled to be delivered on 11 September, 2024.
Delivery of one Wind Turbine Installation Vessel at China Merchants Heavy Industries
SMC is pleased to report Delivery at China Merchants Heavy Industries (Haimen), China, of “ZHAO SHANG CHENG FENG”, IMO No. 9973183, this 1,600 TON Wind Turbine Installation Vessel ordered by China Merchants Commerce Financial Leasing, China.
The deliveries took place on 31st August 2023. After delivery, technical management of the vessel will be by Shanghai Sinoship seafarer Management Co. Ltd.
Steel Cutting of 174k LNG at SHI
SMC is pleased to announce Steel Cutting of 174,000 m3 LNG carrier, Hull No. SN2601 at Samsung Heavy Industries, Korea. This is the sixth vessel in a series of six vessels ordered by Bermuda Based Companies.
The vessel will be classed by BV and built to Liberia flag requirements, scheduled to be delivered on 31 January, 2025.

SMC is pleased to announce Steel Cutting of 696 TEU container vessel, Hull No. XL-205 at Ningbo Xinle Shipyard, China. This is the third vessel in a series of four vessels (CV588*2 vessels + CV696 * 2 vessels) ordered by PT Perusahaan Pelayaran Nusantara Panurjwan, Indonesia.
The vessel will be Classed by ABS and built to Panama flag requirements, scheduled to be delivered on 28 August, 2024.
Launching of 1,023 TEU container at DSSE
SMC is pleased to announce Launching of 1,023 TEU container carrier, Hull No. SB676 at Daesun Shipbuilding & Engineering Co., Ltd., Korea. This is the sixth vessel in a series of ten vessels ordered by SITC Shipowning Group Co., Ltd., China.
The vessel will be classed by ABS and built to Hongkong flag requirements, scheduled to be delivered on 27 October, 2023.
