Schulte Marine Concept is a business unit of the Schulte Group dedicated to development and execution of newbuilding, conversion and retrofit projects globally.

We are looking for Project Manager (newbuilding, conversion and retrofit projects), permanent position in our Shanghai head office.

As a PM (Marine Engineer or Naval Architect background, with tertiary education) you will plan, manage, coordinate and oversee projects development phase bringing project to ship building contract signing, followed by project execution phase including plan approval (carried out by our plan approval team) and vessel’s construction, commissioning, and delivery supervision at the yards (carried out by our site team) in Asia (predominantly) and in Europe.

You will liaise with all parties involved in project development and execution. Among other responsibilities, you will be conducting yards’ audits with gap analyses, coordinating and attending plan approval meetings with the designers and the yards, regularly visiting site offices and attending key events, and foremostly you will be promoting and implementing corporate HSSE culture.

Our corporate experience covers most of vessel’s types: containers, bulk carriers, tankers, gas carriers (including FSRU), ro-ros, ferries, offshore vessels, jack-ups, specialized technical units, floating dry docks.

As a candidate you will be able to demonstrate:

• high level of HSSE awareness and culture
• over 10 years of shipbuilding experience

• project management experience – newbuilding projects (China, Korea)

(candidates without project management experience may be considered, subject to newbuilding site management experience for over 10 years)

• strong leadership
• high level management skills
• understanding importance of corporate culture and corporate compliance
• good teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills
• good skills in planning, managing and monitoring activities, respecting deadlines
• analytical judgment and thoroughness and attention to detail
• reporting skills, including preparation of comprehensive technical reports
• excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken)
• knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point).
