Nistor Constantinescu promoted to Project Manager role

We are pleased to announce that Nistor Constantinescu was promoted to the position of Project Manager of Schulte Marine Concept (S.M.C.), as of February 2022.

A senior naval architect and marine engineer, Nistor gathered an extensive and insightful experience in various vessel types and achieved a high degree of professionalism in shipbuilding industry.

Nistor joined S.M.C. in 2014 as a site manager for various newbuilding projects in China, playing a key role in timely delivering high quality vessels to our Clients. In February 2020 Nistor joined S.M.C. Shanghai Head Office taking the role of Plan Approval Team Leader, covering multiple work scopes, including technical consultancy, plan approval, shipyard audit, vessel inspection, etc.

In his new role of Project Manager, Nistor will direct and manage the project teams to achieve successful project completions and will continue his excelling performance in every endeavor.

Delivery of dual-fuel Ropax for TT-Line

SMC is pleased to announce the Delivery Ceremony in Jiangsu Jingling Shipyard, China of Hull No. JLZ8180222 / DNV GL ID. No. 39999, the first of the series of 2 x 866 Green RoPax Vessel ordered by TT Line Green Ropax GmbH & Co. KG.

Vessel’s principal particulars: LOA = 229.40 m, B = 31.6 m, D = 40.0m, T d/s = 6.3.50/6.70m. Capable of carrying 866 passengers and crew, approximately 4,864 lane meters with four car decks, three passenger decks and an observation deck. Propelled by 4 x Medium speed gas fuelled Engines, 2 x MAN 8L 55/60DF & 2 x MAN 6L 51/60DF x 2 CPP propellors, developing 29,400 kW with propeller running at 126.7 rpm at MCR. The vessel will operate at the speed of 20.6 knots and capable of 23.5knots. Vessel has three bow thrusters each developing approx. 2,800 kW @ 100% and two rudders. All vessels in the series are built to DNV classification and will be operating to Germany/Swedish flag requirements.

Vessel plan approval and supervision was started with SMC at the start of specification review through the construction schedule until delivery.

Following are milestone points

1) Steel cutting – 18th December 2019

2) Keel Laying – 3rd July 2020

2) Launching – 10th November 2020

3) Sea Trial for Initial test 4th December 2021

Sea Trial & Gas Trial 3rd January 2022

4) Delivery to Owners – 7th March 2022

The vessels are the largest gas propelled ROPAX vessels in their class in the world.

Steel Cutting of 174K LNG at HHI

SMC is pleased to announce Steel Cutting of 174,000 m3 LNG carrier, Hull No. 3190 at Hyundai Heavy Industries, Korea. This vessel is ordered by Jupiter 5 Limited.

The vessel will be classed by DNV and built to Republic of Liberia flag requirements.

Delivery of the vessel is scheduled on 15th August 2023.

Launching of 174K LNG at HHI

SMC is pleased to announce Launching of 174,000 m3 LNG carrier, Hull No. 3187 at Hyundai Heavy Industries, Korea. This vessel is ordered by Meridian 27 Limited.

The vessel will be classed by DNV and built to Republic of Liberia flag requirements.

Delivery of the vessel is scheduled on 30th November 2022.

Steel Cutting of 2,600 TEU container at NYZ

SMC is pleased to announce Steel Cutting of 2,600 TEU container vessel, Hull No. N2036 at New Yangzi Shipbuilding, China. This is the forth vessel in a series of ten x 2,600 TEU vessels ordered by SITC Shipping Management Co.,Ltd, China.

The vessel will be classed by ABS and built to Hong Kong flag requirements, scheduled to be delivered on 17th December.2022.

Keel Laying of 119.9K DWT DF crude/product oil tanker at GSI

SMC is pleased to announce Keel Laying of 119,900 DWT DF crude/product oil tanker, Hull No. 20110008 at Guangzhou Shipyard International, China. This the fifth vessel in series of eight vessels ordered by Xiang T131 HK international ship leasing Co., Ltd.

The vessel will be classed by DNV & CCS and built to Liberia flag requirements. Scheduled to be delivered on 10th November 2022.

Delivery of 2,400 TEU container at NYZ

SMC is pleased to announce Delivery of 2,400 TEU container vessel, Hull No. N2002 (MV “SITC YUNCHENG” – “海丰允诚”) at New Yangzi Shipbuilding, China. This is the third vessel in a series of five x 2,400/2,700 TEU container vessels ordered by SITC Shipping Management Co.,Ltd, China.

The vessel is classed by DNV and built to Hong Kong flag requirements.

SMC is pleased to announce Launching of 2,400 TEU container vessel, Hull No. N2003 at New Yangzi Shipbuilding, China. This is the forth vessel in a series of five x 2,400/2,700 TEU container vessels ordered by SITC Shipping Management Co.,Ltd, China.

The vessel will be classed by DNV and built to Hong Kong flag requirements, scheduled to be delivered on 3rd May.2022.

Commencement In Dock of 49,800 DWT MR tanker at STX

SMC is pleased to announce the Commencement In Dock of 49,800 DWT class crude oil/ product oil/ chemical tanker, Hull No. S1925 at K Shipbuilding, Korea. This is the third vessel in a series of four vessels ordered by Island Navigation Corporation International Ltd. of Hong Kong.

The vessel will be classed by ABS and built to Marshall Islands flag requirements with delivery scheduled for 2022.

Steel Cutting of 1,023 TEU container at Daesun

SMC is pleased to announce Steel Cutting of 1,023 TEU container carrier, Hull No. SB672 at Daesun Shipbuilding, Korea. This is the second vessel in a series of ten vessels ordered by SITC Ship Owning Group Co., Ltd., China.
The vessel will be classed by ABS and built to Hongkong flag requirements, scheduled to be delivered on 30th November 2022.
