SMC is pleased to report Ship Erection starting in Taizhou Kouan Shipbuilding Co. Ltd, China: of mv “INTERLINK CELERITY”, Hull No. TK1022, the 13th unit from the series of 13 X GREEN DOLPHIN 38,800 DWT Bulk Carriers ordered by Marine Capital Corporation, Bermuda.

Vessel’s principal particulars: LOA = 180.0 m, B = 32.0 m, D = 15.0 m, T d/s = 9.5/10.5 m. Propelled by MAN 5S50ME-B9.3 Tier II engine and developing 4575 KW x 89.9 rpm at CSR the vessel will operate at the speed of 14 knots at 9.50 draft. All vessels in the series are classed by Lloyd’s Register and will be built to Marshall Islands flag requirements.

SMC is pleased to report launching ceremony in Guangzhou GSI International Shipyard, China of ORE CARRIER “MATILDA”, Hull No. H14121003, the first vessel out of 4 x 261, 000 DWT ordered by FMG International Pte. Ltd.

SMC is pleased to report Delivery Signing Ceremony in Nanjing Dong Ze Shipbuilding, China: of mv “Spil Hasya”, Hull No. Dz-52, the third unit from the series of 4 x 900 TEU Container vessel ordered by Asia Pacific Shipmanagement Pte Ltd.

Vessel’s principal particulars: LOA = 135.70m, B = 22.50m, D = 10.2m, T d/s = 5.6m. Propelled by MAN 5S35MC-C9.2 developing 2975 kW x 142 rpm at NCR the vessel will operate at the speed of 12.5 knots. All vessels in the series are classed by Chinese Class Society and was built to Indonesian flag requirements.

Delivery of the vessel was done on 26th April 2017.

SMC is pleased to report Keel Laying Ceremony in Nanjing Dong Ze Shipbuilding, China: of Hull No. Dz-58, the third unit from the series of 2 x 558 TEU Container vessel ordered by Asia Pacific Shipmanagement Pte Ltd.

Vessel’s principal particulars: LOA = 119.90m, B = 21.80m, D = 7.30m, T d/s = 5.2m. Propelled by MAN 8320ZCd-8 developing 2206 kW x 525 rpm at NCR equipped with ratio reduction gearbox 3.449:1; the vessel will operate at the speed of 10.7 knots. All vessels in the series are classed by Chinese Class Society and was built to Indonesian flag requirements.

Delivery of the vessel is scheduled for 26th September 2017.

SMC is pleased to report Keel Laying Ceremony in Chengxi Shipyard Co.Ltd., China: of one floating dry dock, Hull No. CX9005, ordered by Pacifica Shipyards International.

Dock’s principal particulars: LOA = 135.42m, B = 43.0m, D = 13.7m, Max draft= 12.176m, Max Lift Capacity =7500LT, classed by ABS.

Classification notes: ✚A1, Floating Dry Dock, CPS.

Delivery of the dock is scheduled for 8th September 2017.

SMC is pleased to report launching ceremony in AVIC Weihai Shipyard Co., Ltd on March.26.2017, China, Hull No. AVIC 396, 1x 38000 DWT Bulk Carrier

Vessel’s principal particulars: LOA = 181.0m, B = 30.00m, D = 15.2m, T d/s = 10.1/10.6mm. Propelled by MAN B&W 5S50ME-B9.3 (Tier II) 1 x set wit ECT Part Load turning and developing : 4,713 KW x 91.1 rpm at NCR the vessel will operate at the speed of 13.8 knots. All vessels in the series are classed by ClassNK and will be built to MARSHALL flag requirements.

SMC is pleased to report Physical Steel Cutting Ceremony of YZJ2015-2275 and YZJ2015-2276, the first and the second vessels from the series of 6 x 400k VLOC by ICBC Leasing and HKMW. The ceremony in Jiangsu Yangzi Xinfu Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., People’s Republic of China took place on 21st March, 2017.

Vessel’s principal particulars: LOA= 361.90 m, B= 65.00 m, Depth (mould)= 30.40 m, Scantling Draft= 23.00 m. Propelled by MAN B&W 7G80ME-C9.5 LOW LOAD EGB Tier II and developing 20,570 KW x 54.9 rpm at CSR (0.85SMCR) the vessel will operate at the speed of 14.5 knots. The two vessels in the series are classed by LR and CCS.

SMC is pleased to report opening of Site Office in Samsung Heavy Industries, Korea for the Supervision of Hull No. SN4129, the second unit from the series of 3 x 174,000 m3 LNG Carriers ordered by Mitsui & Co. Ltd.

A Site Office was also opened in SHI’s Block Building facility, Rongcheng, China.

Vessel’s principal particulars: LOA = 293.0m, B = 45.8m, D = 26.2m, T d/s = 11.35/12.0m.

Propelled by 2 x Wartsila 6 x 62DF (Dual Fuel) engines developing 25,080 kW DMCR the vessel will operate at the speed of 19.52 knots. All vessels in the series are classed by ABS and will be built to Singapore flag requirements.

SMC is pleased to report that RB Jordana was nominated among Significant Ships in ‘2016’ by The Royal Institution of Naval Architects. Built in Sungdong Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering, Korea, MV ”RB Jordana”, Hull No. S1224, was the first unit from the series of 5 x 82,000 DWT Eco Bulk Carriers ordered by RB Shipping Ltd. ( Reuben Brothers)

Vessel’s principal particulars: LOA = 225.0m, B = 32.26m, D = 20.2m, T d/s = 12.2/14.55m. Propelled by MAN B&W 5G60ME-C9.2 Tier II and developing 8,610 KW x 78 rpm at MCR the vessel will operate at the speed of 14 knots. All vessels in the series are classed by NKK and was built to Marshall Island flag requirements.

RB Jordana has been built under plan approval and supervision of S.M.C which also attended model testing during initial design stages in Korea.

Delivery of the vessel was on 16th May 2016.

SMC is pleased to report Launching Ceremony in Zhejiang East Coast Shipbuilding Co., Ltd, China (Yangfan Shipyard): of mv ”Mimmi Schulte”, Hull No.CV23H BS09, the ninth unit from the series of 12 x 2339 TEU Container carrier ordered by Bernard Schulte & J.P.Morgan.

Vessel’s principal particulars: LOA = 188.85m, B = 30.4m, D = 16.9m, T d/s = 8.50/10.5m. Propelled by MAN B&W 6G60ME-C9.2 Tier II and developing 11,556KW x 93.7 rpm at NCR the vessel will operate at the speed of 18.93 knots. All vessels in the series are classed by Lloyd’s Register and will be built to Singapore flag requirements.
