Delivery Signing of MV ”Maersk Tema”

SMC is pleased to report the Delivery Signing held on 12th May 2015 at HHIC-Phil. INC.: of MV ”Maersk Tema”, Hull No. P-0119, the Tenth (last) unit from the series of 5,400 TEU Class Container Vessel ordered by Wide Juliet Ltd. Majuro, Marshall Islands.
Vessel’s principal particulars: LOA = 255.0m, B = 37.3m, D = 22.0m, T d/s = 11.0/13.3m. Propelled by HYUNDAI MAN B&W 1 X MAN-B&W 6G80ME-C9.2 and developing 22,212KW X 69.5 rpm at NCR the vessel will operate at the speed of 21.5 knots. All vessels in the series are classed by Det Norske Veritas (DNV) and have been built to Marshall Island flag requirements.
A simple Naming Ceremony for M.V. Maersk Tema was held on board the vessel on 13th May 2015 at HHIC-Phil. INC. and was attended by Mr. Simon Wade of Starboard Ventures, Mr. Ashoke Dey of Schulte Marine Concept, Site Team Members, Superintendent and Ship’s crew and various officials from Shipyard.
M.V. Maersk Tema sailed out for Maiden Voyage on 16th May 2015.
