Launching of No. AVIC 396

SMC is pleased to report launching ceremony in AVIC Weihai Shipyard Co., Ltd on March.26.2017, China, Hull No. AVIC 396, 1x 38000 DWT Bulk Carrier

Vessel’s principal particulars: LOA = 181.0m, B = 30.00m, D = 15.2m, T d/s = 10.1/10.6mm. Propelled by MAN B&W 5S50ME-B9.3 (Tier II) 1 x set wit ECT Part Load turning and developing : 4,713 KW x 91.1 rpm at NCR the vessel will operate at the speed of 13.8 knots. All vessels in the series are classed by ClassNK and will be built to MARSHALL flag requirements.

Classification notes: NS*(CSR, BC-A, BC-XII, GRAB 20, PSPC-WBT) (ESP) (IWS) (PSCM) (BWTS) MNS*(M0). Descriptive Notes: Strengthened for heavy cargo loading where holds nos and 4 may be empty

Delivery of the vessel is scheduled for 28th July 2017.
