SMC is pleased to report Steel Cutting Ceremony in Guangzhou Wenchong Shipyard of Hull No. GWS487, the 2nd 1,700 TEU Container Vessel ordered by CSSC (Hong Kong) Shipping Company Limited.
Vessel’s principal particulars: LOA = 172.0m, B = 27.4m, D = 13.8m, T d/s = 8.5/9.5m. Propelled by Wartsila 6RT-flex58T-E Tier II with low load tuning and developing 12,204 kW x 101.4 r/min @ CSR. The vessel will operate at the speed of 19.65 knots at the designed draft of 8.50 m. The vessel is classed by Germanischer Lloyd and will be built to Singapore flag requirements.
